WRNA Presence at International Women's Day in Darwin

Our group in Darwin is small but growing. Some of our members attended the International Women's Day march.

The IWD march had a great turnout. Our members wore t-shirts proclaiming Woman: Adult Human Female and carried hand-painted signs.

The march was well-attended. This year, we were perplexed by the presence of several men wearing Men's Walk t-shirts... at International Women's Day.

WRNA member Kay says:

"Last year’s event concluded with coffee and cake and speeches inside Parliament House, whereas yesterday’s ended with dancing, a lone singer and a sausage sizzle in the gardens outside Parliament House. The numbers appeared greater than last year, although I preferred the formality of the event of 2023."
